A memorandum of cooperation has been signed by Abu Dhabi Airports, Etihad Airways, General Administration of Customs, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and Abu Dhabi Police to enhance the quality of services at the airport.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Department of Transport. The signing ceremony was also attended by Major general staff pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Major general Sheikh Mohammed Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, director general of Security and Ports Affairs Sector; Jassim Mohammed Buatabh Al Zaabi, chairman of The Department of Finance; Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Airports and Hamad Al Shamsi, member of Board of Directors of Etihad Airways.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed by major general Maktoum Ali Al Sharifi, director general of Abu Dhabi Police; Rashed bin Lahej Al Mansoori, director general of the General Administration of Customs; Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, acting director general of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship; Mohammad Al Bulooki, chief operating officer in Etihad Airways; and Bryan Thompson, chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Airports.
The memorandum aims to facilitate the travelling procedures and reduce the time required to complete travelling transactions. It also aims to offer high-quality services to passengers arriving at the airport, from the customs declaration, baggage, smart gates and other services to finally boarding the plane.
Additionally, the level of efficiency of the operations at the airport will be increased according to the agreement. – TradeArabia News Service
