“Abu Dhabi Statistics Center” discusses strengthening of joint cooperation with Sharjah

The Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi discussed with a delegation from the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah, led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department, and Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department, ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the two sides, as well as review the Centre’s efforts to develop the statistical system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The visit comes as part of efforts to consolidate joint work in the field of statistics, where they reviewed the programs and strategic plans adopted by the center to support the statistical work system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in addition to reviewing the survey projects and polls which the center implements annually, development plans and digital transformation goals in the implementation of statistical projects.

Ahmed Mahmoud Fikri, Director General of the Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi, praised the efforts of the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah in enriching the statistical education system, establishing the training institute in the department and the vital role that the department plays in supporting decision-making in the Emirate of Sharjah.
He emphasized the importance of developing strategic partnerships with government institutions within plans to achieve integration in statistical work and support economic diversification and sustainability by meeting the needs of the public and private sectors and supporting decision makers with reliable future data and analyses.

He said that the Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi looks forward to building a comprehensive statistical system based on the exchange of data and information in accordance with advanced methods and standards based on scientific basis to provide accurate and reliable indicators that achieve the goals of statistical maturity .

Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, for his part, praised the efforts made by the Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi to develop the statistical system and support economic diversification in the emirate, stressing the department’s desire to strengthen joint cooperation between the two sides and draw benefit from the centre’s experience in developing artificial intelligence solutions in the production of reliable future data and analyzes that support decision makers and business.
