Ajman Police have recorded a drop in serious crime rate during 2021 by 10 per cent compared to the previous year.

The Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, highlighted the increasing use of surveillance cameras in helping reduce illegal activity.

He also praised the ‘Aman’ police patrols in enhancing the security and safety of the community, noting that 9,544 vehicles were impounded for violating traffic regulations.

Major Nuaimni added that security projects, worth AED100 million, have been completed so far, with more underway – most notably the installation of smart security gates at the entrances and exits of the city of Ajman at a cost of AED40 million.
