A pair of litigation and international arbitration practitioners with substantial tenures at leading firms have joined Akin Gump, strengthening its profile in Greater China and the Middle East. Ing Loong Yang has joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld’s Hong Kong office as partner effective yesterday (5 April), ending his nine-year tenure at Latham & Watkins where he was also a partner. In doing so, he has joined Graham Lovett who joined the firm’s Dubai office in late March as head of Middle East disputes, leaving a similar position at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
