Al-Bayan continues its “Always Be Well” campaign to promote mental health

In continuation of the “Al-Bayan” campaign for the promotion of mental health, which was launched on the eighth of August last year and was titled “Always Be Well”, which achieved a wide community and official interaction, in cooperation with the relevant authorities in outcomes light on the UAE’s initiatives to promote mental health in society, challenges and opportunities .. “Al-Bayan” continues its campaign this year by dedicating an extended dialogue session tonight, Monday, through “Your Space through the Statement” on the social network site “Twitter” dealing with the topic of mental health, highlighting the UAE’s interest in promoting mental health and quality of life. With members of the local community and national efforts to promote and nurture community mental health and to discuss measures, policies and initiatives, based on which a community enjoying good mental health can continue and implement development projects to the full.

During the dialogue session, the great interest that the UAE has attached to the issue of mental health during the Covid 19 pandemic will be discussed through programs of support and assistance to members of the community, and the launch of the national policy for the promotion of mental health, out over digital solutions within mental and mental health.

The role of mental health in increasing the productivity of members of the local community in various fields of work, monitoring the feasibility and effects of national mental health programs on the family and the reflection of these programs on the stability of the children in these families, as well as the extent to which keeping pace with legislation and laws in the country to support programs and plans will be addressed by the mental health system in society, and the extent of the flexibility of this legislation to understand the requirements for the inclusiveness of these programs for all the spectrum of society, in addition to highlighting in the extent to which research and studies contribute to strengthening the mental health system to ensure continued development and renewal of its programs and plans in society.

The panel debate will be attended by Dr. Yousef Al-Tayr, Director of Obaidullah Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, Amal Al Balushi, Director of the National Program for Happiness and Quality of Life in the Ministry of Social Development, Dr. Ghanem Al-Hassani, consultant psychiatrist at a healthcare company in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Adel Karani, psychiatrist, and Dr. Bassem Badr, specialist in psychiatry, Dr. Talaat Matar, Consultant Psychiatrist at Ras Al Khaimah Hospital and Professor of Psychiatry at Ras Al Khaimah University, Dr. Muhammad Al Ahbabi, an Emirati doctor, author and mental health researcher, and Maryam Alai moderated the media session.

It is worth noting that the “Always Be Well” campaign launched by “Al-Bayan” last year achieved wide community and official interaction, through which “Al-Bayan” presented 111 reports and visual content, and also highlighted the role of influential media in to raise awareness of mental health, in addition to supporting the effort. She also revealed the importance of the adoption of such awareness campaigns by the Arab media, emphasizing the role of the national media in serving societal issues. It also emphasized the importance of providing and maintaining comprehensive mental health care.
