Biologique Recherche Facial at Project Beauty

November 27th, 2017

Project Beauty is Dubai’s newest beauty destination for all your nail, facial, lashes and waxing needs…

A luxury bespoke beauty studio concept, Project Beauty houses The Wax Studio for a laid back and enjoyable waxing session using only Lycon wax (which is a pain-free method, yes) coupled with resting on a big bed and catching up on your favourite show on Netflix and T’sume (sue-mey) offering a range of Margaret Dabbs London Manicures and Pedicures and facials by Biologique Recherche. The Wax Studio also has LVL lash treatments by Nouveau Lashes & Beauty and lash extensions by Lash Perfect.

Unlike most salons that are usually too bright for the eye, this one has airy white interiors with dash of natural wood to offer a spa-like experience. The manicure area resembles a café with a tree where you could take your bestie along and catch up each other’s life on a weekend while getting your nails done.

Right across the mani station is a place where you can put your feet up and sink into the T’sume spa chairs for a pedicure.

The Biologique Recherche facial

The renowned luxurious brand from Paris – Biologique Recherche offers bespoke facial treatments that are personalized by the trained therapists to cater to your skin’s needs. I was thrilled to try out a facial treatment at this new luxury salon. After being greeted by a smiling staff who offered me a welcome drink to choose from a variety of teas and coffee and asked if I had eaten my breakfast, making me feel so at home and taken care of!

I was led into the facial room which was so beautiful with white blankets, towels, a welcome tray and a form to fill up necessary details about my skin/allergies. As I settled into the chair, my therapist examined my skin as she asked me about my skincare routine, the brands I use, while I sipped onto to my clear aromatic jasmine tea. She complemented me that I had good skin but it needed hydration and brightening and she was quick to point out that I didn’t drink enough water.

Next, I was briefed about the ‘express’ treatment I was going to experience and I learnt that the Biologique products have a high percentage of active ingredients which will help me see really immediate results and also that while the treatment would follow the protocols of the facial, it will be tailored to suit my skin ‘instant’ – the current state of my skin.

I rested my back into the comfy white bed, sliding inside a soft cozy blanket as the therapist began by cleaning my face with a liquid cleanser, clearing off all the dirt and impurities. At this very first step my skin started to feel refreshed.

Next, she gave me an opening massage covering the face, neck and a bit of my upper back..which was sheer bliss. I could feel my face heat up during the massage but it was nevertheless a soothing kind of warmth and made me feel truly pampered. The therapist gently patted on a diluted P50 Lotion to my face, which felt warm. Now was the turn of Masque Vivant which I was cautioned would tingle a bit and might cause redness that will go soon. After keeping the mask, she wiped it gently and after feeling warm during the most part of my facial, I was treated to the chilled effect of patting of cryo ice sticks that felt cooling and refreshing. My face was given a mini massage to finish off with a cream and patting on SPF. Since it was an express facial, she skipped on the serum and booster but still that didn’t stop my face to look clear and clean after the treatment. The facial was extremely relaxing and comfortable. As informed, a little redness did surface but it soon went in a couple of hours replacing my tired stressed face with a peachy glow.

No wonder it is referred to as the “Hermes of Facials”!

Before leaving I was shown the wall of fame – stocked with the famed and much desired P50 skincare range by Biologique Recherche – an exclusive brand that is available for purchase at only specific places.

Biologique Recherche facials are available at Project Beauty, Al Wasl Road starting at Dh700.
