NICOSIA, Cyprus, 31st March, 2022 (WAM) — Industrial production in Cyprus this January was up by 5.2% compared to the same period of 2021, the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) quoted data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat) as saying on Wednesday.
In particular, according to CyStat the industrial production index in January 2022 reached 124.6 units (base 2015=100), recording an increase of 5.2% compared to January 2021.
The manufacturing sector registered an increase of 0.2% compared to January 2021. Increases were also observed in the sectors of water supply and materials recovery (34.7%) and electricity supply (20.3%). The mining and quarrying sector recorded a decrease of 11.1% compared to January 2021.
