UN Climate Summit

The world continues to warm due to the high levels of smog emitted by the global use of petroleum fuels. Natural disasters such as heat waves, floods and forest fires are increasing due to climate change. All countries have the same opinion that they should be controlled together. Based on this, UN The climate summit has been held in various countries since 1992 in Brazil.

The UAE is currently very active in climate change action. Following this, it was approved to hold the United Nations climate summit, now known as COP 28, in the UAE. This conference will be held from November 30 to December 12.

Dubai Expo City

In May last year, a formal notification was issued by the Ministry of External Affairs on the approval of the UAE to host the 28th UN Climate Summit. But the information about where it will be held has not been disclosed. Later, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced that it will be held in Dubai.

It is noteworthy that the World Expo 2020 has been decided to be held in a sophisticated and unique place that has brought the world together for a period of 6 months. Both Expo 2020 and COP 28 have similar goals.

Similarly, the Expo 2020 theme of ‘Connecting Minds and Shaping the Future’ is also relevant to the Climate Summit. That is why Dubai Expo City has been chosen to host it, the UAE President said. The progress has been intensified.

Alternative energy

While the Dubai Expo 2020 exhibition took place there, the complex featured alternative energy and environmentally friendly structures and technologies, and is currently preparing for the World Climate Summit. After the Expo 2020 exhibition, the Dubai Expo City Complex is now in full bloom.

Arrangements are being made to look green. Complexes with particular emphasis on sustainability are being prepared in Expo City.
