The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children concluded yesterday the activities of workshops and interactive programs with a psychological and social dimension within a summer camp organized by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities over a period of 10 days from (July 18-28) , topped by the (My Royal Body) workshop and a workshop from a psychological and social perspective, in addition to interactive activities with pets to raise awareness among children, targeting parents and children between (7-14) years of age.
Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the Foundation, said: “We at the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children were keen to participate in the summer camp and present a package of workshops for children and parents aimed at raising awareness of children’s rights and how to understand their demands, as well as educating children in entertaining and innovative ways on how to protect their bodies and minds from being abused.”
She emphasized that the Foundation will continue its efforts to preserve the family, especially the child, and spare him from all factors or influences that harm him or limit his development, and will implement all initiatives that are in line with the goals of the conventions on rights . of the child, the Wadeema Children’s Act and the National Strategy for Motherhood and Childhood, to build the child’s happiness and optimal care.
