Egypt’s natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) export revenues will reach $8 billion in fiscal year 2021/2022, up from $600 million in 2013/2014, according to reports.
Egypt has quadrupled its LNG and natural gas exports from 1.9 million tonnes to 7.2 million tonnes over the past eight years. During the same period, Egypt signed 108 contracts with international companies to drill gas and petrol with a minimum investment of her $22 billion.
