ABU DHABI, 13 September 2022 (WAM) — Dr. Laila Abdel Aziz Al Hayas, Executive Director, Social Development Division, Department of Community Development (DCD), Abu Dhabi, has taken the initiative to celebrate Gulf Family Day and bring balance to the community. The important role the family plays in promoting stability and stability.
Dr. Al Hayas emphasized that DCD plays an important role in empowering families by implementing integrated systems that address their needs. As part of this mission, DCD works with multiple partners from different sectors to develop integrated strategies for families, as well as undertaking numerous initiatives and projects.

The idea to celebrate Gulf Family Day came as a result of a meeting held in 2021 between the Secretary General of the Supreme Family Affairs Council in Sharjah and the Saudi Council on Family Affairs. Several programs, services and events to achieve sustainable family development.
The Department of Social Affairs of the GCC Administration recognizes September 14th each year as Gulf Family Day. This year’s Gulf Family Day will be celebrated with the theme of “Families Connected for a Sustainable Future”, highlighting the important role families play in contributing to the development of their communities. The day emphasizes the importance of a home environment that further promotes the sustainable development of the family and ensures the optimal upbringing of individuals upholding social values and principles.
