Sharjah, September 25 / WAM / The fifth edition of “Ruwad”, organized by the Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects “Ruwad” in collaboration with the University of Sharjah, under the title “Ruwad Virtual Incubator”, discussed the opportunities and privileges offered of the virtual incubator and its role in supporting and transforming entrepreneurial ideas into commercial and service projects.

Miles “Ruwad” with the participation of 30 students and a number of entrepreneurs from the foundation’s members reviewed the success stories of a group of new projects from the members of the “Ruwad” Foundation, with the aim of transferring and exchanging expertise and experience among project owners and students participating in the discussion session .

His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects “Ruwad”, said that the organization of “Ruwwad” aims to develop open discussion sessions with university students to develop and encourage a culture of entrepreneurship among youth and raise awareness of the services and privileges provided by the Sharjah Foundation to support entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial citizens and create an incubating environment for the establishment and growth of their projects.

He added that the fifth edition of “Ruwad” highlights the importance of business incubators and the services they provide, targeting college and university graduates, students in the last two years before graduation, as well as entrepreneurs to encourage them to enter the world of entrepreneurship and self-employment and to benefit from the facilities and support of the incubator.

Abdullah Al-Saadi, coordinator of business centers at “Ruwad”, reviewed the concept of incubators and business centers and their role in supporting entrepreneurs in the early stages of establishment and enabling them to turn their ideas into commercial projects. Specific and deliver the financial costs associated with the project’s premises.

He also reviewed the most prominent incentives and benefits offered by the virtual incubator to students who wish to establish their own businesses and projects in the priority commercial and service sectors within the virtual incubator program.

Miles “Ruwad” witnessed the hosting of a number of existing project owners to review their success stories, ways to plan commercial projects, steps to establish, the main challenges they faced, ways to overcome them, the opportunities that offered by business centers and incubators in the country and their role in supporting them and enabling them to continue their business.

The session also featured an open discussion between project owners and university students on the transformations that the business environment is witnessing today in light of successive technological developments and the resulting shifts in production methods and changes in consumption behavior and patterns, which in turn created new business models through electronic applications, social media platforms and others. .

“Ruwad Virtual Incubator” is one of the main initiatives of “Ruwad” Foundation Sharjah, which was developed with the aim of encouraging final year male and female students and graduates to enter the field of entrepreneurship and provide them with an opportunity to establish their businesses on the new virtual platforms.
