DUBAI, September 2 / WAM / The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the UAE, Zhang Yiming Gu, praised the advanced level reached by Sino-Emirati relations in various fields and sectors, especially in the field of culture and education, stressing that the current period is witnessing a growth and development in the relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, and the bilateral relationship escalated at a faster pace in all fields until it reached its highest level with the activation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, which is considered the highest level of Chinese diplomatic relations.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, while attending the start of the new academic year at the Chinese School in Dubai, His Excellency added that cultural and educational exchange is an important part of the cooperation between his country and the UAE, and pointed out that the Chinese school in Dubai has a unique significance as it is the first Chinese school. It was established abroad with the support of the Chinese government and with the commendable support and efforts of the wise leadership of the UAE and the government of Dubai.
The Chinese ambassador spoke about his assessment of the development of bilateral relations between the two countries since their official establishment, as China and the United Arab Emirates have a long history of friendly and constructive cooperative relations, and expressed his pride in strengthening the cultural exchange between his country and the country. The UAE points out that the new partnerships between the two countries, especially in vital sectors. Just as important as culture and education, it reflects the strength of friendship between the two friendly countries and people.
He continued: “We thank the UAE government for its efforts in hosting the first Chinese school in the Arab region and for encouraging us to establish Chinese universities in Dubai soon. There is a growing demand from countries around the world according to Chinese educational plans, because long-term trade and economic cooperation begins with cultural and educational communication, and therefore the focus on the educational and cultural aspect is one of the main pillars of our partnership with friendly countries.”
His Excellency Zhang Yiming concluded his statement by noting that the UAE hosts the largest Chinese community in the region, which numbered more than 300,000 Chinese nationals living in peace and security in the UAE, and that the majority of community members in Dubai working in many Chinese government and private companies, all of which have a card Creative.
