Emirates News Agency – Discussion on strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and UAE University in the field of knowledge transfer

ABU DHABI, August 18 / WAM / Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services, received Dr. Ghaleb Al-Hadrami Al-Buraiki, Acting Director of the United Arab Emirates University, and his accompanying delegation, who visited the Ministry of Interior to learn about the Ministry’s pioneering experience in knowledge transfer and exchange experiences and information in this area.

This visit comes within the framework of strengthening the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the University of the United Arab Emirates and the exchange of experience between the two sides in the field of education and training.

Major General Al Shamsi accompanied Dr. Al-Buraiki and his accompanying delegation on a visit to the Ministry of the Interior’s innovation laboratory and were briefed on the innovation system in the Ministry of the Interior, the creativity and innovation strategy and the strategic axes of innovation based on providing the appropriate environment for creativity. He listened to a brief explanation of what the laboratory contains and provides support for efforts to introduce innovation in public work and to create an incubating environment for innovators, project owners and innovative ideas by adopting, strengthening and upgrading their abilities to serve and develop the work of the police.

The delegation also visited the Office of Project Management and Shared Services in the General Administration of Strategy and Performance Development and a meeting was held in the presence of Brigadier General Dr. Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director General of Strategy and Performance Development in the Ministry, Department Directors, Dr. Ghaleb Al-Hadrami Al-Buraiki and his accompanying delegation, during which a short presentation was given on a number of areas, including the area of ​​project management and strategy and the area of ​​human resources and smart applications in the Ministry of Interior.
