ABU DHABI, September 13 / WAM / The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Sharjah Office of Foreign Direct Investment (Invest in Sharjah) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation and build capacity.

The two sides agreed to work together to position the UAE as an ideal destination for trade and investment and to highlight the country’s stable and safe investment environment, investor-friendly systems and advanced trade finance infrastructure.

The Memorandum of Agreement sets out a framework for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to facilitate trade and investment meetings through its diplomatic missions abroad, participate in the exchange of information and develop the capacity of the diplomatic corps in the field of investment and investment. trade promotion.

In this regard, His Excellency Dr. Abdel Nasser Al Shaali, Assistant Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation: “The memorandum of understanding signed with the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office is the first of many memorandums of understanding aimed at increasing cooperation to promote De UAE as a destination. An ideal investment by exchanging experiences with investment promotion agencies to sharpen the skills of Emirati diplomats.”

His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh, Managing Director of Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office “Invest in Sharjah” welcomed the initiative and said: “We look forward to close and strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate global investment flows , who will lead the UAE’s economic diversification agenda.”.

He added that Sharjah abounds with opportunities, especially in forward-looking sectors such as green technology, mobility, innovation and advanced manufacturing.

He explained that this memorandum, which focuses on investors and on building the investment capabilities of diplomats, is preparing to shape a comprehensive and strong future for business and investment in the UAE.

The Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), the specialized investment promotion agency in Sharjah, is committed to guiding foreign investors to the vast opportunities and opportunities that the emirate offers.

It also facilitates investment operations by promoting close cooperation between the public and private sectors, providing opportunities for foreign investors while simplifying comprehensive investment solutions.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding comes as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has developed the “Invest in UAE” website to become a focal point between state-level investment promotion agencies, chambers of commerce, diplomatic missions abroad and overseas. investors with the aim of attracting additional investment to the growing strategic and economic sectors of the UAE.
