Ras Al Khaimah, August 12 / WAM / The Environment Protection and Development Authority of Ras Al Khaimah has launched its transition to the cloud computing system as the first local authority in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

This step confirms the authority’s readiness for the digital transformation process to improve and develop its digital services and operations, achieve integration and integration with future technologies and keep pace with the National Strategy for the UAE’s Digital Government 2025.

This step also represents a crossing point towards the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution and the era of data and highly advanced technologies supported by artificial intelligence.

His Excellency Dr. Saif Muhammad Al Ghais, Director General of the Authority said: “The transition of the Authority as the first government entity in the emirate to a cloud computing system reflects the support of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and the diligent follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince Era of Ras Al Khaimah, Chairman of the Executive Council, where the transition to cloud computing will help in the presence of advanced, efficient, flexible and high-capacity services and will accelerate the transformation of all public authorities for a complete digital transformation.”

Al-Ghais added: “This step is in line with the UAE’s directives to achieve the highest quality of public services, achieve customer delight, simplify and speed up services, maintain databases, improve information security and flexibility, reduce costs and speed up work, noting , that the technology of cloud services makes it possible to store files, data and various information through linked servers, the Internet and access to it in a safe and reliable way, since interconnection and ensuring integration between all public authorities will provide continuous communication in an efficient and secure way between them and will improve the integration of services.”
