London, 13 August / WAM / Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, visited Queen Mary University of London, which dates back to 1785 and has several departments in and outside the UK, and Kings College University established in 1829 of the Duke of Wellington.

She was received at Queen Mary University of London by its director, Professor Colin Bailey, and at King’s College Rebecca Morgan, the college’s director of philanthropy, and a team from the college’s various departments.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed, during her visit to Queen Mary University of London, expressed her joy to learn about the university’s achievements, especially its interest in society, and the pursuit of excellence always.. During the dialogue, she spoke of the opening of partnership with her through Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan’s cultural and educational institutions in many educational and community programs and activities and exchange of experiences.

For her part, Rebecca Morgan welcomed Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed’s visit to the university and her interest in getting to know her closely. She gave a presentation on the college, its history and its valuable contribution in various fields of science and research. teaching mechanisms within the college, which depends on the combination of classical teaching methods and the flipped classroom method, which is one of the modern teaching methods that are heavily dependent on technological development.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed gave the library of the two universities a set of her publications and a group of books that talk about the Emiratis within the “Knowledge for Humanity” initiative, which is inspired by the spirit of the fiftieth celebration to be a message of Emirati brotherhood, through which museums and universities around the world are gifted examples of historical holdings. To be among its possessions with sources of knowledge for books and technological means that define the United Arab Emirates, between the past, the present and the future, so that the world knows the Emirati performance and the ancient folklore, as well as the development of modern art in the country.
