Sharjah, July 31 / WAM / Sharjah Municipality has announced the strengthening of coordination and joint cooperation with the environmental group, Kalba Municipality and strategic partners to deal with the effects of the weather that has prevailed in the country in recent days and the accompanying good rains .
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality and Chairman of the Rain Emergency Committee, confirmed that the municipality has provided equipment, mechanisms and manpower in collaboration with Bee’ah Company to provide the necessary support to work teams from various parties in the city of Kalba for immediate to deal with the effects of weather, especially withdrawal of rainwater from areas where Drainage nets are available, deal with gatherings with high efficiency, and start cleaning work for various roads, squares and residential areas, and remove all rubbish such as wood waste and others.
Al Tunaiji explained that the municipality also provided high-powered pumping stations, innovative dam pumps and more than 150 tanks to handle rainwater harvesting, reflecting the municipality’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with various parties and provide the necessary support to deal with any emergency. situations and maintain the safety of life and property, pointing out that the Sharjah City Municipality is closely monitoring the weather and developing plans from the Rainfall Preparedness Committees to deal with any water accumulations and convey informational messages to members of the local community.
For his part, Khaled Al-Huraimel, CEO of Bee’ah Group, confirmed that various types of vehicles and mechanisms were made available to the group’s fleet to provide the necessary support to remove the debris that had accumulated due to water catchments and its flow in. different areas of the city of Kalba, especially the residential areas, based on Bee’ah’s willingness to strengthen cooperation and joint coordination. With the various authorities and concerted efforts to deal with the weather situation and its effects to increase the flow of movement for the population and other working groups, as well as to strengthen the cultural and aesthetic appearance of the city of Kalba.
The joint work teams continue their efforts around the clock through the provision of technical and administrative personnel, support groups, various pumps and tanks for rainwater extraction, as well as the provision of heavy and light equipment and mechanisms to carry out various works with high efficiency, reflecting the will of all parties to respond quickly to emergency situations and deal with it immediately.
