Fujairah, August 10 / WAM / The activities of the sixth edition of the “Qayd al-Khair” summer program, organized by the Fujairah Natural Resources Foundation in collaboration with the Fujairah Foundation for Regions Development, started yesterday at the Habhab Community Council until the third week of August in the Community Councils of the Emirate of Fujairah.
The events at the Habhab Majlis – which witnessed a large presence of children under 12 and mothers – included a wide range of elements of Emirati heritage on stage, which focused on connecting future generations with the ancient past with all its customs, traditions and authentic values through competitions that varied between the wet competitions and the competition for the most beautiful heritage model and the most beautiful heritage suit.
The heritage events also included traditional handicraft workshops that consolidate national identity such as khus, talli, spinning, sadu, henna, Emirati burqa and traditional dishes, in addition to the falconry workshop which was very popular among young and old as a window through which participants look to the past, in addition to folk games , drawing and coloring workshops and presentations, prizes for different age groups who participate.
Engineer Ali Qassem, Director General of Fujairah Natural Resources, emphasized that the organization of the Qidd al-Khair program in its sixth session is in line with the vision of the foundation, which has made many societal contributions since its inception, especially the activities for children. and young people, and from this point of view we are keen to launch initiatives that invest leisure time and develop talent, to promote a sense of participation and encourage them to learn with their peers during the summer holidays.
