ABU DHABI, August 1 / WAM / The National Center of Meteorology has clarified that due to the oscillating movement of the Tropical Convergence Line “ITCZ” which moves towards the northern part of the Arabian Peninsula and then retreats towards the south, leading to the advance of surface and upper depressions from south to north, and the flow of moist air masses from the Arabian Sea and Oman Sea towards the region and the state.
He added that with rising temperatures during the day, convective clouds of rain are forming over different regions of the country, especially in the east and south, and also extending over the Al Dhafra region, accompanied by lightning and thunder sometimes. Then the depressions retreat to the south again, leading to weakening of the weather and its withdrawal from the region and country.
And he indicated that the expected weather today to Thursday will be as follows: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with convective rain clouds of different intensity over separate areas of the country, especially in the eastern, southern and western regions, starting in the afternoon and extending to the beginning of the night at intervals.
Wind: southeast to northeast and northwest, moderate speed and active to strong speed sometimes with cumulus clouds raising dust and dust, leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility.
The sea: light to medium waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, it can be turbulent at times with clouds..
