DUBAI, September 17 / WAM / A trade delegation from the US state of Utah discussed establishing new economic partnerships with the UAE during a meeting held in the Emirate of Dubai, organized by the US-UAE Business Council, the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunities and the Utah International Trade Center.

The meeting was attended by Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox and more than 60 prominent Utah government officials, business and community leaders, including First Lady Abby Cox, Speaker of the House Brad Wilson, and Senate President J. Stuart Adams.

The US delegation discussed strengthening ties with the UAE and opportunities for future cooperation with more than 100 businessmen and women from both sides.

In his speech, Spencer J. Cox, Governor of the State of Utah, emphasized the close relations between the State of Utah and the United Arab Emirates and emphasized the eagerness of the trade delegation to strengthen these relations and develop joint cooperation in all fields, which helps to open new horizons for fruitful Cooperation.

For his part, Chargé d’Affairs at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Sean Murphy, pointed to the great potential opportunities in trade and business in the UAE, highlighting opportunities for cooperation between US and Emirati companies in states such as Utah, praising the stimulating investment environment and business culture of the UAE as well as the history of the state of Utah is innovative, which will contribute to the success of such partnerships.

For his part, Danny Sebright, chairman of the US-UAE Business Council, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the visit of the Utah delegation to the UAE aims to create a fertile ground for cooperation between Emirati companies and Utah companies, with both sides looking forward to further growth in the Middle East.

Sebright added that the purpose of the visit of the delegation, which included more than 60 people and about 30 companies, is to hold more talks and discussions and then strengthen cooperation and establish new economic partnerships.

Notably, the US delegation spent two days in the UAE, meeting with a number of prominent government officials and business organizations and also participating in some cultural events.

The delegation discussed the opportunities available in healthcare, life sciences, aerospace, transport and water security and all these tracks aim to share experiences and best practices and explore business opportunities for these designated sectors.
