Just in time for the Spring/Summer ’18 season…

A new Emirati label has just popped up on our radar and its newest collection will perfectly resonate with the region. Here’s why…

Here at Buro HQ, we love nothing more than seeing regional labels release some of the most beautiful collections, especially those that are catered to the Middle East

If there’s a (fairly) new name to know right now, it’s Shatha Essa. Already available on Ounass.com and in Symphony, Harvey Nichols Dubai and Bloomingdales Dubai & Kuwait, the brand’s designer is a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Creatively run by Emirati designer Shatha Essa, the eponymous label truly embodies a Middle Eastern aesthetic and marries rich textiles and materials with local culture and traditions that result in the core of every collection.

For her newest Spring/Summer ’18 collection, the designer created ensembles that can be perfectly worn for Ramadan this year.

With influences drawn in from vibrant gardens, fluttering birds and the rays of sunlight, the colour palette of bright hues and neutrals have been printed on local abayas (which act as Shatha’s canvas’ every season), complete with intricate embellishments, refined detailing and glistening sequins.
