As one of the participating airlines present at the inaugural edition of the Saudi International Airshow, Etihad Airways is showcasing its aircraft, products and services on site.
With its own dedicated chalet, Etihad’s visitors will have the opportunity to view one of the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner’s up close. The aircraft sports Special Olympics livery, related to the carrier’s partnership with the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019.
Special guests hosted on site includes the Saudi Arabian Special Olympics team and Al Nassr FC.

The airshow is not only a platform for us to present what promises to be a spectacular display of some of our aircraft, products and services to the Saudi market, but is a testament of how two countries can work together for greater benefits within the aviation industry and beyond.”
Also on site at the chalet is Etihad Aviation Training’s Embraer Phenom 100E jet, along with Etihad Airways’ Mobile Exhibition Vehicle (MEV).
The MEV features a 16-metre -size mock-up of the airline’s cabins, which includes the First Apartment and The Residence offerings that will be available on both the Airbus A380 fleet and the Boeing 787 First Suite.
To date, Etihad Airways operates 84 flights per week to Saudi Arabia. This consists of three return flights a day to Riyadh, three return flights a day to Jeddah, four return flights a day to Dammam, and twice daily to Medina.
The first edition of the Saudi International Airshow is scheduled to run from the 12 – 14 March 2019.
