European Union welcomes truce in Yemen

BRUSSELS, 2nd April, 2022 (WAM) — The European Union High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell has welcomed the recent announcements of the UN- brokered two-month truce to halt all forms of military operations in Yemen and on the Saudi-Yemeni borders.

The UN’s Yemen envoy Hans Grundberg on Friday announced that the truce in Yemen will come into effect on Saturday, the first day of Ramadan.
