Berlin-based premium mobility startup Blacklane has announced the opening of its Dubai office
Founded in 2011 by frequent travellers who found a gap in the market for a global professional chauffeur service, Blacklane operates a platform that connects passengers with vetted and fully-licensed chauffeurs at highly-competitive rates.
Available in over 300 cities across 60 countries, Blacklane prides itself on its 24/7 multilingual customer care and increasingly broad coverage.
The new office in Dubai is Blacklane’s second regional satellite office, following its APAC base in Singapore, and will serve as the centre of Blacklane’s expansion through the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
According to the firm’s press release, Blacklane already operates in 21 cities in 10 countries across the MEA region, and it plans to “add dozens of additional cities across the region.”
“As the center of travel in the Middle East and the headquarters of Emirates, Dubai is perfect for Blacklane’s office expansion,” said Jens Wohltorf, co-founder and CEO of Blacklane, in the firm’s announcement.
“Emirates means quality, and we’re proud to provide that on the ground, online and in our customer service for Emirates’ guests.”
The firm said in its statement that the team in Dubai will have three major priorities: supporting the Emirates complimentary Chauffeur-drive service, of which Blacklane is the exclusive provider in India, Italy, and Sweden; adding new cities to the firm’s MEA coverage; and developing corporate business and partnerships in the region.
