Global COVID-19 cases cross 488.02 million

WASHINGTON, 3rd April, 2022 (WAM) — More than 488.02 million people have been reported to be infected by the coronavirus globally, and 6,521,715 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Sunday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
