H.E. Lt General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim Inaugurates Innovation Arabia 11…

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Royal Prince of Dubai and President of Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), His Excellency Lt General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Protection in Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University HBMSU, officially ushered in the 11th version of Innovation Arabia, an introducing seminar and event committed to ‘innovation’ between East, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre today, under the theme ‘Innovate, Disrupt and Transform’.

Following the opening ceremony, H.E. Lt General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim come with by a variety of VIP’s, visitors, speakers and leading innovators in the UAE and abroad, visited the exhibit location where they were presented to the most up to date innovative modern technologies in different fields.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, His Excellency Lt General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, said: “Our presence at this yearly event shows HBMSU’s vision and goals in advertising the culture of creativity and innovation, in addition to our efforts to reinforce our efforts in scientific research within the education sector and equal global modifications in the 21st century. Innovation Arabia is an important incorporated platform that supports the vision of the UAE’s leadership for the country’s future, focused on developing the nation as one of one of the most innovative and established on the planet.”

From his side, Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University and the Chairman of the Seminar’s Greater Board, gave thanks to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his kind patronage of the seminar and for his regulations, which has actually made Innovation Arabia one of the most vital global conferences. Dr. Al Awar also thanked to H.E. He also praised the honest initiatives made by INDEX, under the chairmanship of Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, in organizing the present version of Innovation Arabia.

On his part, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding and the Executive Chairman of ‘Innovation Arabia’ stated, “Innovation Arabia 11 will considerably aid us in achieving our objective of establishing a culture of innovation in the UAE and the Arab world and make it possible for the flow of imagination while additionally gain improvement in numerous key industries including health, education, renewable energy, framework, transport, water and space, in accordance with Dubai’s 2021 vision, which aims making Dubai a key hub for trade, logistics, financing and tourism.”

On the sidelines of the opening program, leading pioneers, magnate and professionals were recognized for their key contribution in instilling a culture of innovation in their respective areas through The Research and Management Excellence Awards. The Parasuraman Service Excellence Prize was granted to Mohamed Ahmed Ali Al Hammadi from Rochester Institute of Modern Technology RIT, The Harrington Best TQM Thesis/Project Award was provided to Ahmed Salem Mohammed Salem Al Memari, The British University of Dubai, The Feigenbaum Management Excellence Award– Rising Stars Leaders to Anas Bukhash, Establishing and Managing Director, Bukash Brothers, The Feigenbaum Management Excellence Award– Achieved Leaders was awarded to Dr. Maryam Matar, Founder and Chairperson, UAE Genetic Diseases Association and The El Baz Award for Excellence in Organizational Sustainability went to Dubai Carbon Center of Excellence.

This year, Innovation Arabia 11, will review the impact of innovation on 4 key industries and locations, including Smart Discovering, Business and Top Quality Administration, Health and Setting and Islamic Banking and Money. Amongst the subjects covered throughout the initial day of the conference were, ‘Mapping the UAE Health System: Challenges and Recommendations’, ‘Create Cool Culture’, ‘FINTECH, The Opportunities for Islamic Finance’ and ‘Higher Education in an Age of Disruption’ among others.

Innovation Arabia 11 Conference and Exhibition, is continuous till March 13, 2018 and being arranged by HBMSU together with INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions – a member of INDEX Holding, and the assistance of Dubai Investments and Hamdan Awards.
