JOHANNESBURG – The rainbow nation provides colourful content for comedians, many times, the content writes itself with state capture, resurrections and a lot more.

The Johannesburg International Comedy festival, featuring well-known comedians like Kagiso Lediga, Loyiso Gola as well as international acts like the United Kingdom’s Tom Houghton and the UAE’s Ali Al Sayed, left audiences in stitches.

eNCA asked some of the comedians on what they’d do if they were offered Bosasa loot.

Kasigo Lediga quipped, “what are you going to do if Bosasa comes to you with a bag of cash?”

“Will you refuse it just to sign here and there I understand you need money for data, money for school fees, pay the bond and Bosasa came and said, why not? I wouldn’t take it but you should.”

Tsitsi Chiumya said, “if Doctor Lazarus asked me to do the resurrection I would take the money being from Limpopo and I’ve seen a lot of miracles, genuine ones so if I had to do a fake one it wouldn’t hurt anyone so I’ll do it eating the food for my funeral.”
