Khalifa University of Science and Technology participated in the Advanced Materials Exhibition, which was held during the National Exhibition in Birmingham, UK, with the aim of showing the Research and Innovation Fund at the newly launched Graphene and Two-Dimensional Materials Research and Innovation Center at the University. During the exhibition, which concluded yesterday, Khalifa University presented the details of the Research and Innovation Support Fund at the Center for Research and Innovation in the graph and two-dimensional materials for visitors and academic researchers.
The fund is a two-phase open call for proposals from around the world to fund projects that potentially represent commercialization opportunities for the technologies. Grants will be awarded for a period of up to 36 months and an annual value of up to $ 2 million.
The 2022 call for proposals aims to identify commercially viable technologies and create an integrated research team that will pave the way for future innovations in 2D materials. July 20 is the deadline for the initial proposal phase, after which the final list of full proposals will be selected by October 26, 2022. Final appropriations will be published on December 11, 2022.
