Fam Living, one of the companies specializing in providing holiday homes and a subsidiary of FEM Real Estate, announced the launch of a new initiative of its kind in the UAE, which is to provide sustainable holiday homes in a private resort in the heart of sustainable city, in conjunction with the “Dubai Sustainable Tourism” initiative, aims to consolidate the emirate’s position as one of the world’s leading sustainable tourism destinations.
Fam Living is the first company to launch this initiative to provide fully sustainable holiday homes to support sustainable tourism, having partnered with the real estate company that established The Sustainable City. Mohamed Shams, CEO of Fam Living, said: “In this initiative we aim to promote the use of renewable energy to reduce carbon emissions through 51 homes where solar energy is used to generate electricity, a reduced carbon footprint to increase clean energy, and advanced technologies to assess the amount of energy consumed.” Each guest while renting these sustainable homes and tenants can learn about the method of organic farming, such as producing a group of green organic crops that are distributed free to the residents of the sustainable city on a monthly basis.
Visitors are also equipped with electric carts that can be used for transportation, and the services are not limited to that, but the tenants can enjoy spending their time in restaurants, cafes and sports clubs that also rely on sustainable services such as paper bags.
These houses can be rented short and long term, and the tenant has the freedom to choose accommodation and book the days through the Fam Living website. The duration can be a day, a week or long months as needed, such as university students coming from an emirate or other countries to study in the Emirates.
