The activities of the fourth training program for Emirates Volunteers were launched in Dubai yesterday under the slogan “Volunteering in the Service of Society and People”, organized by Sandooq Al Watan in collaboration with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Sandooq Al Watan Board, and with the participation of many from federal, local and private agencies, where more than 85 volunteers participated in the program’s activities, which focus on benefiting from the UAE volunteers’ skills to benefit their communities, their local environment and people in general.
Afra Al-Sabri, Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, affirmed that volunteering and upholding the value of the public interest are among the hallmarks of the United Arab Emirates, thanks to the support and assistance provided by our wise leadership to all , and the sincere efforts made by its citizens and residents for the benefit of all, underscoring the conviction of the Emirati community. In its entirety, volunteering essentially expresses a true humanity that extends a helping hand to all. From this point, the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and Sandooq Al Watan focus their efforts to achieve these goals within the initiative “Volunteering in the service of society and people” through the training program, which has already achieved exceptional successes during its rounds. The previous three were in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dhanna, underscoring that his presence in Dubai is currently focused on activating the energy of Emirates volunteers for new initiatives to support our local communities. Al-Sabri added that the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence strongly supports the role of volunteering in bringing about positive change in society and is very proud of the efforts of male and female volunteers from the people of the Emirates, and works to provide every opportunity for them to can serve their local community and their local environment, and emphasizes promoting the values of volunteering among generations. The new program will enable them to be an important part in the renaissance of society and the stability and joy of its people in different regions of the country, noting the importance of volunteers to demonstrate the values of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood, in order to be an example and role model for other young people. Therefore, the training program focuses on these values on its first day.
Yasser Al Gergawi, General Manager of Sandooq Al Watan, confirmed that the training program has achieved remarkable successes in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dhanna, and the participants in the previous sessions of the program have carried out a wide range of creative initiatives which led us to reach the program to all regions of the country, to meet with UAE volunteers everywhere in the country of the homeland, and emphasizes that His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan attaches great importance to this program, which is an important window for all volunteers on the country’s soil, in order to serve their communities and support people everywhere and that His Excellency directed to give all support to voluntary initiatives to see the light in various fields. He emphasized that the program will continue over a period of 3 days, during which the volunteers will receive intensive training doses.
