The Midfield terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport, which is currently under construction and expected to open in 2019. The airport now handles 62 aircraft simultaneously. With the new terminal, it will be able to handle 141 planes at once, with the support of the new technical systems at the new terminal. Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, acting CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, said the budget allocated for the Midfield terminal of Abu Dhabi Airport has already exceeded Dh19.1 billion, while a budget of Dh38 billion has been set for the expansion and development of Abu Dhabi’s aviation sector.
