Mohamed bin Zayed receives Carter Centre members participating in ‘Reaching the Last Mile’

ABU DHABI, 24th March, 2022 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received a number of members of the Carter Centre’s work team participating in the “Reaching the Last Mile” initiative.

The meeting focused on the joint efforts to combat neglected tropical diseases in the world, most notably “Guinea Worm disease”, especially in light of the Abu Dhabi Declaration on the Eradication of Guinea Worm Disease.

The declaration was issued at the conclusion of the 2022 Guinea Worm Summit, which was co-hosted recently by the Carter Centre and Reaching the Last Mile initiative.
