President of East Timor receives UAE Ambassador to Indonesia

DILI, 23rd May, 2022 (WAM) — President of East Timor, José Ramos-Horta, has received Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to Indonesia and to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Dili, on the occasion of his assumption of the presidency.

During the meeting, Al Dhaheri conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his presidential win, wishing him continued wellness and success, and further progress and prosperity for the Timorese people.

The Timorese President gave the UAE ambassador a condolence message to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed on the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed. He also expressed his greetings over the election of Sheikh Mohamed as UAE President, wishing the people of the UAE further progress and prosperity under his leadership. He also stressed his keenness to further strengthen ties between the two nations.

Al Dhaheri hailed during the meeting the steady progress in bilateral relations between the two nations across all fields.
