In an online launch yesterday, Xiaomi has officially revealed three new smartphones in its growing roster of affordable devices available in the UAE – the Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9, and the Mi Note 10 Lite.
Redmi Note 9 Pro
The Redmi Note 9 Pro features a quad camera setup headlined by the 64-megapixel main camera. There’s also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens along with a 5-megapixel lens for macro shooting and a 2-megapixel depth lens for product bokeh effects. The front of the Redmi Note 9 Pro also houses an in-display 16-megapixel camera perfect for those selfies and can also record in slow-motion.
The smartphone also packs a huge 5,020 mAh battery along with support for 30W fast charging. This fast charging technology can just up the smartphone up to 57 percent in just half an hour. Inside, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 720G CPU with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. The Redmi Note 9 Pro also comes with a 6.67-inch ‘DotDisplay’ along with a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

As for the Redmi Note 9, you’re also getting a quad-camera setup starting with the 48-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s also a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone also has the same battery as the Redmi Note 9 Pro, with 5,020 mAh that should last more than a day’s worth of juice. Also included is an 18W fast charging support. The Redmi Note 9 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor and comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage and has a 6.53-inch display.
Both devices also include NFC, and IR blaster and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes in colors of Interstellar Grey, Tropical Green, and Glacier White while the Redmi Note 9 comes in Midnight Grey, Forest Green, or Polar White.
Pricing for the Redmi Note 9 Pro starts at 1,099 AED while the Redmi Note 9 starts at 749 AED.
Mi 10 Lite
Also introduced is a new model under the Mi 10 smartphone line. The Mi 10 Lite features a 6.47-inch AMOLED display with a curved glass back similar to its bigger brother. There’s also a quad-camera setup at the back while the insides include a Snapdragon 730G CPU with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. Lastly, the Mi 10 Lite includes a 5,260 mAh battery and support for 30W fast-changing.
The Mi 10 Lite will start from 1,449 AED.
