The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ come in many colours, but the company is adding more room for personal style. Samsung announces two new colour editions, the Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red. These will be added to the existing pool of Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple.

“People want to be able to express their style and personality through their technology and color is a big part of that personalization,” says Younghee Lee, CMO and Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics. “The new editions extend the color offerings of Galaxy S9 and S9+ with vibrant styles that embrace a modern and classic feel.”

The Sunrise Gold edition features a satin gloss finish which the company hopes extends feelings of vibrancy and calm. The sophisticated finish also brings a stylistic touch of high fashion and urban interior design to a user’s mobile device.

Meanwhile, the Burgundy Red edition hosts one of Samsung’s deepest red colors, featuring restrained gloss for added density. The contemporary and traditional design caters to users who appreciate a luxurious look.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ flagships pack cameras with a Super Speed Dual Pixel sensor and Super Slow-mo capabilities. Other camera features also include Low Light Camera with Dual Aperture lens, AR Emoji, and Bixby integration. Additionally, the phones use AKG-tuned stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Other notable features are iris and fingerprint scanning, deep-learning facial recognition, IP68 particle resistance, and fast wireless charging.

The Burgundy Red edition launches in Korea and China starting in May. Sunrise Gold comes a little after in June, in select markets including Australia, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. The list does not include Malaysia, but Samsung promises that these editions will come to other markets eventually.
