RAS AL KHAIMAH, February 5, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has presented the DP World Tour Ras Al Khaimah Championship trophy to the winner of this year’s event, Daniel Gavins, from England, at the end of four days of enthralling golf that has cemented Ras Al Khaimah’s position as an outstanding host of international sporting events.
This is the second year that Al Hamra Golf Course has hosted DP World Tour events, which attract some of the world’s top golfers, after playing the Ras Al Khaimah Championship and Ras Al Khaimah Classic over consecutive weekends last year.
H.H. Sheikh Saud said: “The excitement and emotion of sport has an overwhelming ability to bring people together and inspire in us a sense of belonging, determination and hope. These qualities are what motivate us and drive our Emirate to pursue the hosting of notable sporting occasions, such as the DP World Tour Ras Al Khaimah Championship. Congratulations to Daniel on his victory.”
