“Schools of life” in Al-Safa library… Creativity, entertainment and culture

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority “Dubai Culture” continues its programs and activities aimed at supporting talented and creative people, including the activities organized by the Safa Art and Design Library within the “Schools of Life” project and the summer camp, which provides a platform for development of life skills and refinement of creative talents among individuals Society in all segments and age groups. Yesterday, Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, visited the library with the aim of following up on the activities and programs of these activities.

During his visit, Badri was intimately familiar with the educational and entertainment environment that the library provides for young people and young people participating in the activities and activities of the “Schools of Life” project, which was activated in a number of different workshops; Where I witnessed part of the “Arabic Calligraphy Art” workshop. Dubai Culture launched the first phase of the “Schools of Life” project in the libraries of Al Twar, Al Mankhool and Al Safa for art and design, starting from June 1, 2022 and continuing until the end of this year. The project aims to build the cultural, creative and life skills of young people, adults and people of determination in Dubai, both citizens and residents.

Hala Badri also learned about the methods of creating some innovative pieces and crafts that the campers of various ages enjoyed completing during the “Mirror Carpet” workshop offered by the library as part of the summer camp that started earlier this month and continues until the 28th of this month. Badri expressed his admiration for the creativity of the participants, which resulted in many mirrored carpets with distinct designs and color combinations that they had started working on in the previous two days.

The Director General of “Dubai Culture” praised the efforts of the workshop supervisors, their high level of professionalism and their ability to handle the different age groups that the workshops receive, and she also expressed her joy at the distinguished attendance witnessed by the library’s activities.
