Sharjah Electricity completes a strategic line project at a cost of 180 million dirhams

Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority has completed a project to extend a strategic high-pressure line with 220 kV underground cables for the transmission of power links between Wasit Power Station and Al Layyah Power Station with a length of 14 km at a cost of 180 million dirhams, as part of the authority’s efforts to develop transmission and distribution networks in all regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, achieve stability and stability of the electrical network and improve network efficiency.
This strategic line transfers power from the new 1,026 megawatt capacity gas turbines at the Layyah plant through the new 220/132 kV Layyah power plant to the 220 kV Wasit power plant and then to the rest of the 220 kV network stations around the city Sharjah.
