Sharjah Ruler issues Emiri Decree establishing Federal Affairs Office

SHARJAH, 15th September, 2022 (WAM) — H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Emiri Decree No. 48 of 2022, regarding the establishment of the Federal Affairs Office (FAO) in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Decree stipulates that a government office shall be established linking the federal and local authorities in the Emirate.

Federal authorities must communicate and coordinate with the office in all federal affairs in the Emirate, with the exception of issues that, by their nature, require the direct perusal of the Sharjah Ruler.

The Decree shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and implemented by the concerned authorities, each within its jurisdiction, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
