Sharjah Ruler issues Emiri Decree establishing Muwaileh Council

SHARJAH, 12th January, 2023 (WAM) — H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an Emiri Decree No. 2 of 2023 establishing the Muwaileh Suburb Council Sharjah.
The Decree named the following members for Muwaileh Suburb Council in Sharjah:

1. Jassim Mohammed Khamis bin Taliah.
2. Khaled Abdullah Al Raboui.
3. Salem Rashid Salem Al Junaibi.
4. Abdullah Salem Ali bin Madan Al Ketbi.
5. Ali Salih Ali Sambij Al Ali.
6. Muhammad Juma Hamad Al Mashghuni.
7. Mohammed Ali Abdullah Al Ghazal Al Shamsi.
8. Mansour Mohammed Ali Al Yassi.
9. Yasser Omar Yousef Jassim Al Dokhi.

The Council chooses a chairperson and a vice at its first meeting from among its members by either board agreement or direct secret ballot. The vice-chairman becomes acting chairman in the event of the chairman’s absence or vacant position. The executive regulations of the suburbs councils shall determine the duration of their occupation of the position.

The membership term of the Council is four years, starting from the date of establishment. The Council continues its work upon the end of its term until establishing a new one. Those whose membership term has ended may be re-appointed.

The Decree shall come into force from the date of its issuance and shall be implemented by the concerned authorities, each in its jurisdiction. It shall be published in the Official Gazette.
