Sharjah’s Health Promotion Department launches ‘Health Crescent’ campaign

SHARJAH, 5th April, 2022 (WAM) — The Health Promotion Department (HPD) at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) in Sharjah, through its social media platforms, launched its annual Ramadan campaign entitled ‘Health Crescent’ The aim of the campaign is to shed light on the most prominent health and nutritional practices to be followed during the Holy Month of Ramadan, and raising awareness on the health benefits of fasting and its role among members of society.

The ampaign includes many virtual initiatives that have been prepared in an innovative way, where awareness lectures will be carried out by elite doctors and will discuss many health axes, most notably fasting for people with chronic diseases, genetic changes during fasting, and the most important healthy eating practices, in addition to Publishing awareness films provided by specialists in health education and nutrition through social media throughout the holy month, as well as broadcasting health awareness episodes on Sharjah TV, as part of the ‘ealth and Life’ programme.
