During his visit to the University of Lübeck in Germany, Prof. Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, President of the University of Sharjah, the students of the PhD Program in Molecular Medicine of the University of Sharjah on scholarships within the dual doctorate agreement between the two universities, who are expected to graduate as a third batch this year, and he also met with these students’ supervisors. And he discussed with them and the students the research plan and the results they reached during their scientific research.
During this visit, where he was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Qutaiba Humaid, Vice President for Medical Affairs and Health Sciences and Dean of the College of Medicine, discussed the ways to expand the cooperation agreement to include the College of Computing and Informatics, and the establishment of a joint artificial intelligence center based on wind energy in Germany and solar energy in Sharjah. A group of faculty members of this German university were also invited to participate in the 9th Emirati German Conference which will be held at the University of Sharjah in November 2022.
At the end of the visit, the delegation from the University of Sharjah visited the newly established teaching hospital of the University of Lübeck with a capacity of 1,000 beds and reviewed its facilities and workflows, especially in teaching and clinical training, for which it is a good example as a teaching hospital practical training of students from Sharjah University, and then met with some department heads at the hospital.
