The Society of Engineers in the Emirates has unveiled an annual scholarship in engineering and engineering management for Emirati graduate students.
It stipulated that the applicant obtains a first acceptance from an accredited university to study master’s programs in engineering, whether in full or partial study system, and meets the grant criteria set by the association in coordination with universities in the country.
The scholarship is scheduled to be awarded during the next academic year, with applications sent via email.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs in the Ministry of Community Development, Hessa Tahlak, confirmed that these development initiatives increase social responsibility.
She added that the grant demonstrates the association’s role and commitment to social contribution to engineers and to delivering community initiatives that enhance the value of education.
For his part, the chairman of the board of the Society of Engineers, Eng. Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, that stimulating the efficiency of national talents and building the engineering skills of citizens is one of the society’s priorities and among its strategic plans announced at the beginning of the current board meeting.
