The UAE Cabinet has approved the establishment of a National Public Health Committee and has also restructured the health council.

It’s part of efforts to protect public health and raise the level of preparedness and response to healthcare issues.

The changes were announced during a cabinet meeting, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The new committee will be headed by Abdul Rahman Al Owais, the UAE’s Minister of Health & Prevention.
