Vi (formerly known as Vodafone Idea) introduced new unlimited international roaming packages for its customers on Monday. The new Vi Unlimited International Roaming packs range from Rs. 599 to Rs. 5,999. The former is valid for 24 hours while the latter offers validity for 28 days. Customers traveling to countries like UAE, UK, USA, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Australia, Thailand and Brazil can opt for these planes. It offers unlimited voice and data support on its roaming networks in all travel destinations. Vi Postpaid roaming plans come with an Always On feature to avoid exorbitant international roaming charges even after the subscribed plan has expired.
The telecom operator on Monday launched a new range of international roaming packs for customers. Vi international roaming packs start from Rs. 599 with one day validity to Rs. 5,999 pack valid for 28 days. They offer unlimited voice calls and data.
Currently, Vi provides roaming services in 81 countries with local service providers. It also unveiled an Always On feature to ensure that subscribers are not overcharged even after subscribed plans expire. For example, if travelers who have subscribed to the seven-day Vi postpaid roaming package need to extend their stay, they can continue to use their phones for voice, text and data, and will be charged at standard rates for up to what the usage value of the user doesn’t cross Rs. 599. By crossing Rs. 599, the user will be charged Rs. 599 for each additional day they use the international roaming facility.
According to Vi, customers of Vi’s RedX postpaid plan can enjoy one international trip every year with a seven-day Vi International Roaming Free pack worth Rs. 2,999.
