The governor of the Brazilian province of Mato Gerso, Mauro Mendes, accompanied by a Brazilian trade delegation, visited the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The delegation members toured the pavilion’s various sections, accompanied by Dr. Ghassan Abbas, Commissioner-General of the Syrian Pavilion, and Eng. Khaled al-Sham’a, director of the pavilion, where they were briefed on the various artistic and cultural exhibits.
The Brazilian delegation showed great interest in the collective art exhibition hosted by the pavilion under the title “I am the Syrian.” It also visited the commercial section, where Manaf Arnous, the section’s coordinator, presented an idea about the possibilities of cooperation through holding meetings between companies of the two countries, especially those participating in the pavilion’s activities, which provide the Syrian product and commercial opportunities in Syrian.
Mendes expressed his admiration for the Syrian pavilion’s insight into Syria’s history, ancient civilization, vision, and movement towards the future, reflecting the cultural identity of the Syrian people.
He noted the pavilion’s presentation of investment and trade opportunities, especially within the commercial section, and the cooperation it provides with the various pavilions.
The Syrian participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is witnessing great interest, as the Syrian pavilion has been visited since its inception by delegations and representatives from many countries and organizations participating or visiting the exhibition. Periodic work with Arab and international delegations in order to develop trade and economic relations with global partners.
