The Syrian band (Takat), in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent, held a charity concert at the Dalma Mall in Abu Dhabi, the proceeds of which were allocated to those affected by the earthquake that occurred in Syria last month.

The ceremony, which opened with a minute of silence for the souls of the earthquake victims, was attended by a wide audience, as in-kind and cash assistance was provided to those affected by the earthquake.

Band members Osama al-Maghout, Alaa Fandi and Safaa Jabr indicated that this initiative is the least that can be done to send a message of solidarity with those affected by the earthquake, expressing their hope that Syria will be rebuilt with the help of its people.

For his part, Bhupinder Singh, general manager and financial director of Dalma Mall, said, “The concert was previously scheduled, and when the earthquake occurred, the band wanted to send a message of solidarity with those affected by allocating proceeds to help them.”

In turn, the Syrian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, expressed his thanks to the band members for their patriotic sense and voluntary and charitable initiative, praising the organizers of this initiative and the members of the Emirates Red Crescent.
