ABU DHABI, 24th February, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), part of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), has announced its participation at the 31st edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair, which will be held from 25th February to 5th March 2023.

The fair, a key cultural platform among international book fairs, aims to promote the growing publishing industry, strengthen the publications of participating cultural entities and provide opportunities for building partnerships between international publishing houses.

Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the ALC, said that the centre seeks to enhance communication channels and advance partnerships with educational and cultural institutions and international publishing houses to support cultural action worldwide.

Bin Tamim added that introducing ALC to the East Asian and Indian markets will encourage more involvement of publishers at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2023. The Centre will also reveal the latest advancements of its various projects in publishing and translation and display new editions of books and written pieces.

The New Delhi World Book Fair includes a range of conferences and literary programmes and brings together major publishing houses worldwide. Last year, the fair was organised virtually and attracted more than 2.8 million visitors from 70 countries, including 150 Indian exhibitors and 15 from abroad.
