At the start of the session, Sheikh Ammar lauded the selection of the emirate of Ajman as the starting point of the World’s Coolest Winter campaign, adding that they are looking forward to a prosperous period, in line with the significant development witnessed by the country in the economic and tourism sectors.

He also hoped to witness the integration of governmental efforts to benefit from available opportunities and offer the emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors a distinguished social experience, as well as strengthen the emirate’s stature on the tourism map.

The session also addressed the emirate’s preparations for the World’s Coolest Winter campaign, after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced that it will start in Ajman.

On the directives of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, the emirate plans to organise a series of events and festivals that will help promote internal tourism.

The Executive Council also approved several incentives aimed at encouraging the participation of the private sector in the campaign.

As part of the preparations for the campaign, the Executive Council’s members discussed the feedback on supporting the campaign in the long term, as well as the possibility of producing and using renewable energy as a sustainable solution for urban development and population growth in the emirate.

The members were then briefed about the emirate’s public budget and major projects for 2023.
